The Tricky Tykes will once again be appearing at one of the largest outdoor shows in the country – The mighty 3 day SOUTHSEA & PORTSMOUTH SHOW ON 5, 6 & 7th August 2005.
The Southsea & Portsmouth Show is a yearly event for the Tykes who are invited back every year by popular demand. The Tykes give 2 or 3 performances every day at the show, and the crowds pack the arena to watch them.
The Show is especially popular with local visitors and tourists alike, being metres from the seafront.
Make a date and meet the Tykes there

The Tricky Tykes were at the famous Showman's Show in Newbury in October and despite the weather a stream of visitors were to be seen at their Exhibition Unit chatting to Team Leader John Goddard-Fenwick. The tough little Tykes braved the weather and greeted hundreds of vistiors over the two days.

The Team are reporting brisk business and have an ever increasing list of bookings for the 2005 season with enquiries coming in almost every day. Hopefully everone who would like to see the Tykes in 2005 should be able to do so somewhere nearby.

A new Jack Russell Tyke named Flymo joined the elite pack at the end of September 2003, having been talent spotted at Llanybydder Horse Market taking a keen interest in anything around her that moved. Her age? 6 weeks! She quickly created chaos tearing after and ripping up anything that moved. She comes from a long line of excellent ‘ratters’, and even as a puppy she displayed ‘in born’ killer instincts. Some of the older terriers were clearly wondering what the heck we had brought into their midst!
She was groomed to take the place of 14 year old Tyke Hughie, who sadly lost his battle against lung cancer in the late Summer of 2003. (see Rainbow Bridge - past Tykes remembered).
Watch this space for a progress report…………………… well, she made it! This year, 2004 was her debut. Where? Well, the hallowed turf of Crufts. Was she good? Yes and no. Yes - because she enjoys her work and No - because- well try catching her. She wants to be in all the races!!!

GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS

One show is interested in hosting an attempt in 2005 by the Tykes to get into the Guinness Book of Records with the greatest number of dogs in one race. Our own private record is 37 - we would hope to vastly exceed that figure and may need your help.
